LIGHTS...CAMERA...ACTION!

Today I had the opourtunity to do hair & makeup for a beautiful upcoming Long Island model! Todays shoot was focused on bringing out her naturally beautiful features. We were aiming for a "Boho" type of style with an edgy flair to the over all looks. The hair was achieved by starting with her natural air dried hair, to adding some clip in extensions for body and a little bit of extra length, followed by taking large sections to a 1.5 inch curling wand. Once the hair was curled, i took a large boars bristle brush and lightly lostened up the curls, turning them into a more natural "beach wave" style, then spraying the style down with a texturizing spray, to give it that "sea salt" textured look.

For the makeup, we wanted to bring out her naturally beautiful features by enhancing what she already has. Just a light airbrushed foundation, followed by very subtle contouring and highlighting her cheak bones. The eyes were excentuated by a light neutral eye shadow going from light int he inner corners of the eyes, to a slightly deeper nude shade towards the outer corners of the eyes. The eyes were lined on top with a dark brown compact shadow and blended out towards the end of her eyes, with a slight winged affect. We stuck with just a light coat of mascara instead of false lashes, to brighten and open her eyes, instead of deepen the affect of her natural eyes. Finishing off er beautiful face with a glossy nude lip color, lined with a slightly deeper shade of a pencil liner!
